BMW Motorrad is gearing up to unveil the production-ready version of its upcoming adventure motorcycle, the BMW F 450 GS.
According to a recent report by MCN, the F 450 GS will feature a semi-automatic gearbox option alongside the standard manual transmission. Notably, this setup is distinct from the automated shift assistant found on BMW’s larger, flagship models.
In keeping with the GS lineage, the F 450 GS will include multiple riding modes, made possible by a ride-by-wire throttle system. A bi-directional quickshifter is also expected to be available. The bike will ride on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup—mirroring the dimensions of its larger sibling, the R 1300 GS.

The F 450 GS will be powered by a newly developed 450cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 47 horsepower. The bike is expected to tip the scales at around 175 kilograms. With this configuration, BMW aims to offer the signature GS experience in a more accessible, compact form—without compromising on the brand’s hallmark technology and capability.

The F 450 GS is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated motorcycle launches of 2025. Positioned as the entry-level model in BMW’s GS adventure lineup, it will provide new riders with a more approachable yet feature-rich alternative to the high-capacity GS offerings.
The F 450 GS will be produced in India by TVS Motor Company, BMW’s long-time partner. The platform developed for this motorcycle will later serve as the foundation for additional models under the TVS brand.
